Following on from my previous post “Getting the perfect brief“, the second part of our web design process, is the coding and creation of a website.

Because of our strong roots in SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) our design team is well equipped to make sure that all of our sites are coded in a very search engine friendly way. If a client is taking on an SEO campaign with us as well as a site build, a keyword study will be done before any coding takes place. This is to make sure we are in the best possible position when we launch a site and head for page 1 for your chosen keywords.

We believe that every client should be able to make changes to their site whenever they want, which is why we build most of our sites on the WordPress platform. It is a very flexible, open source, CMS (Content Management System) that allows us to be creative, but has a very simple and easy to navigate editor for our clients.

All of websites are table less in design and pass strict WC3 Validation. We believe in creating lean, un-cluttered, semantic code that is quick and easy for search engines to crawl. This is because it is very important to have a high content to code ratio, to help reach the best search rankings.

After the site has been coded to the exact specification of the brief we attained from the client, we give the client access to a development area where they can review there site. During this period we ask our client to go through everything with a fine tooth comb and make sure they are completely happy with their new site. If there are any tweaks or changes that need to be made we ask the client to document everything and send us any changes so that we can work through them quickly and efficiently. We always aim to finish a site as quickly and efficiently as possible so that our clients are never left waiting when it comes to the coding process.

When our client is completely happy with their site, we launch the site onto the domain of their choice. The site is also passed over to our SEO team for any SEO projects to commence.

All of our web design projects come with a free domain and free hosting for the first year. After a site has gone live, we offer training on any aspect of the site that the client may need help with. Our aim is to provide an all-encompassing solution to our client’s needs on the web.
