Split testing is at the core of any conversion rate optimisation campaign, but not all test are equal. Anyone can use a split testing tool, but not everyone understands the underlying statistical process for analysing the results. Tests need to be targeted and the data needs to be sound. Our experience enables us to understand exactly why a particular outcome was achieved and how we can iterate on a test to achieve the desired outcome.


What we do

Focused Performance

We run focused and technically sound split tests. Knowing how long a test will need to run and what the likely uplift would be is essential to planning your tests. Without this, your tests will often end without a clear result, or will run for long periods of time with no benefit or gain. We all know, wasted time is wasted money. Our experience allows us to run CRO campaigns that provide real insight and improve performance for all marketing channels.

How we do it

The tools

Most agencies will use a split testing tool like VWO or Optimizely to run split tests for your campaign. This is fine and both are great tools, but most tools are based on Javascript and due to ad blockers and privacy settings, may struggle to record consistently accurate results. To combat this we’ve developed our own integrations utilising Google Analytics and Tag manager to record more reliable results. Using data from both a split testing tool and Google Analytics allows us to compare results and ensure that they are reliable. For most businesses, Google Analytics is their one true voice for web data, so it makes complete sense to use the same platform to test any potential changes and track any outcomes.

A better understanding

After ever test we rigorously interrogate the data to understand exactly why the outcome was achieved, weather that be positive or negative. User recordings, heatmaps and other behavioural analysis tools, show us exactly what happened during the test and paint a vivid picture of what the user experienced. This allows us to achieve more consistent results and to iterate effectively on any unsuccessful experiments.
