RocketMill Confirms Leading Agency Status in Annual Drum Ranking

Elite classification in The Drum Independent Agency Census continues award-winning year.

Brighton-based digital marketing agency RocketMill is celebrating the latest in a string of awards, having achieved the coveted Elite status, ranking 5th overall in the 26-50 staff bracket of The Drum’s annual Independent Agency Census.

The Census ranks agencies by client satisfaction, financial performance, and peer recognition, with the top agencies in each size bracket awarded Elite status. RocketMill has already been named a Top 100 agency in 2016 by the Recommended Agencies Register, which collaborates with The Drum on the Independent Agency Census.

Despite healthy revenue growth RocketMill plans to maintain its modest size, and concentrate on delivering a unique mix of consultancy and traditional digital agency work – a mix which they believe gives them a competitive edge at the smaller end of the agency market.

Sam Garrity, RocketMill’s Managing Director, said of the result:

“As a relatively young agency it’s exciting to receive such lofty recognition, especially when it’s heavily related to client feedback.

“We’re seeing two trends in digital marketing – smarter clients and more talent. If you consider the relationship between those trends you can appreciate why more clients are taking activities in-house. We’ve built our agency around these needs, and it’s exciting to see it paying off.”

About RocketMill

RocketMill is an innovative and flourishing digital marketing agency passionate about helping ambitious businesses succeed online.

Founded in 2009 by brothers Ben and Sam Garrity, the agency started life by helping small SMEs with search engine marketing. Prior to forming RocketMill, Ben and Sam worked in national press at The Daily Express and The Daily Mail respectively. This experience gave them a grounding in sales and marketing, and provided a front row seat to the emergence of digital media. The dynamic nature of digital media and the flight of marketing revenue towards it were catalysts behind the founding of the agency.

Since 2009 RocketMill has invested heavily in recruiting top talent from more established agencies, developing its own software, and taking its own medicine. Formed in the teeth of the recession and thriving throughout it RocketMill’s remarkable growth story looks set to continue with the agency recently investing in a move to a new landmark building in Brighton.
