Over the last few weeks we have witnessed many changes in the way Google handles local search. Google’s new advertising product Google Boost will only succeed if the rest of local search components and factors are weaved togather properly.

Below appears to be the latest addition to the Google Maps algorithm, as seen in the screenshot Google allows users to visit a business’s website directly from Maps as well as viewing a video from the business’s relevant Google Place page.
