Here's what we need

Salary: £20,000 - £35,000, negotiable depending on experience

Your role is to provide a first-class account management service to our clients. Working into a Client Partner across a portfolio of clients, to deliver the best possible results for our clients.

To execute this role, you will need to have a well-rounded digital marketing skillset with an understanding of all channels RocketMill offers.

The role requires excellent internal and external communication, reporting and understanding of our products. To work successfully across these areas, you will need to be highly organised, command respect from clients and RocketMill staff, be an excellent communicator, and be able to manage campaigns and projects end to end.

You will personally be responsible for the day to day delivery on an account portfolio, working closely with the Client Partner to deliver work of an excellent quality that will drive results for our clients.

Clients should feel the full weight of your digital marketing expertise. Above all you will need to immerse yourself in their business in order to understand it, consult on it and then become an extension of it.

Key Responsibilities

Planning

Your will work closely with the Client Partner to deliver against the agreed strategy and will take ownership of the planning and implementation of required activities with the RocketMill and client teams. You will be responsible for planning within RocketMill: defining the right tasks to deliver for the client, briefing, timescales, dependencies, internal coordination and final quality assurance on all deliverables. Consistent and quality briefing to all team members, appropriate to their levels of experience and knowledge, is a must.

Establishing the right ways of working for your client and the internal team will ensure you get the best out of team and deliver most effectively for the client.

Furthermore, operational excellence should be standard when it comes to keeping internal systems up to date and accurate.

Internal Communication

You will need to work with the Client Partner to implement a successful handover process for both existing and new clients to your portfolio. This will involve on-boarding, client immersion, setting client KPI’s, reporting structures, SLA’s and a prioritised plan of work.

In order to effectively plan and deliver the work for our clients you will need to communicate excellently internally, setting a schedule of internal meetings to ensure you are content on campaign tactics, productivity, quality and results.

You will also be expected to communicate on campaign health, campaign threats and campaign opportunities to all RocketMill managers on a regular basis.

External Communication

You will be expected to earn our clients respect and trust by providing a first-class account management service to our clients.

You will be expected to immerse yourself in your clients’ businesses, feeling to them as though you are an extension of their team.

You will be heavily involved in scheduled communication such as status meetings, conference calls, and reporting, taking responsibility for updating the client regularly on the progress of work, working with them to address any blockers to our work and being responsive to ad-hoc queries and requests that come through.

Your clients need to feel the momentum behind your campaign, be clear on the workflow, and understand the data-based results it is yielding against their forecast

Reporting

You will need to work with your clients and the internal teams to ensure we provide the right reporting with the right frequency. Your reporting will be insightful and educational for the client and focus on insights and opportunities.

Internally you will need to report on campaign health, threats and opportunities on a regular basis.

Commercial Acumen

Building on from the operational excellence in the management of internal systems, it is expected that you know and understand the contract situation on your clients (contract status, terms and any relevant end dates).

Working with your Client Partner, you will ensure all teams are being paid for the hours they spend on an account, ensuring profitability is kept within good working levels. Should there be any issues with this, to proactively highlight to the relevant senior people within the business along with a plan of action to resolve.

Finally, it is expected that you raise all invoices timely and work with the Finance Manager to ensure invoices are paid on time too.

Essential Skills

  • Previous experience working within an agency (preferably in digital but minimum of 6 months)
  • Experience of managing projects end to end and a love of systems and processes
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent written and spoken English and a good attention to detail
  • Be highly organised and be able to balance your workload and deliver on time
  • Have a proactive, can-do attitude, that adds energy to our team

Desirable Skills

  • Experience of writing briefs, overseeing delivery and quality of work
  • Understanding of digital channels
  • Basic knowledge of Google Analytics
